What to expect when you come to The Call…
There may be some unfamiliar territory here at The Call. In order for those things not to be a distraction, here are some things that you may want to know:
Children Elementary age
Children will worship together with us. Right before the sermon, they will continue their worship through the Word and enjoy community through small groups in their own class. Jr. High and High School students will stay with us the entire time as we all learn to be the church across generations.
Infants to 5 year olds
will check into their classes before the start of the service..
We do not have a particular genre that we support more than others. In fact, the Bible instructs us to sing a new song. For that reason, some times the music may be quiet, and others it may be louder than you’re used to. Because volume and frequencies are so subjective, we’ve provided sound limiting ear plugs in the event that the volume is too much for you.
Acts 2:38 says "Repent and be baptized." Baptism is a very important part of our worship. We encourage anyone who wants to be batpized to have the freedom to do so during or after the service. If you know in advance that you want to be baptized, please bring a change of clothes. If not, we have some clothes available for you to use. Again, we encourage you to personally take this this next step with us.
Revelation 12:11 says They overcame him by the blood of the Lamb and by the word of their testimony. (NIV) What god is doing in your life is not just interesting, it's powerful! Testimony is one of the churches strongest weapon in warfar so don't hold back. We have a Facebook wall designated for this purpose. Please take time to share in writing something that God has done in your life. He deserves our praise!
You won't see an offering plate during the service. We believe sacrifice is a huge part of who we are, and that includes our giving. There are boxes in the front and back of the sanctuary. Please feel free to offer your sacrifice in worship any time during the service.
Jesus calls us to "do this in remembrance…" We want to honor Hima s much as we can by remembering Him in thsi way. Each week, the Fireside Room is open for communion and time with the Lord. We encourage you to come a little early if possible and spend some quality time with the Lord. In addition to this, we will periodically offer a time of communion during our service.
